Our trip to El Salvador gives us the chance to see life in a church that offers compassion to all. The mission of the Lutheran Church of El Salvador is to all those in need. To the poorest of the poor it offers food, water, companionship, and hope. To people like us it offers the kindest hospitality, an opportunity for insight, a chance to accompany Christian friends in the gospel's work. We have worshipped and prayed and sung with Salvadoran sisters and brothers. Bishop Gomez has received us as his own. We are truly blessed to be here.
